There are three more big-time bowl games on Friday after a wild Thursday set of games that saw Duke unleash hell on Temple, Wisconsin bludgeon Miami, and Baylor outlast Vanderbilt in an exciting shootout.
At 10:30 AM Pacific on Friday, play opens with the Music City Bowl from Nissan Stadium in Nashville, pitting Purdue against Auburn. Purdue beat the crap out of Ohio State a few months ago, keeping them out of the Playoff, and Auburn has essentially rolled over to every good team they’ve played. The Washington Huskies are not good so don’t bother bringing them up.
At 2:15 PM, the Camping World Bowl kicks off. You may know this better as the Citrus Bowl, and I’m damn well gonna call it the Citrus Bowl because kiss my ass. This game features West Virginia against Syracuse, and promises to be a fine game between two quality teams.
The evening’s main event is the Valero Alamo Bowl at 6 PM, wherein Iowa State will battle Washington State to determine which college’s home city is more sad, Ames or Pullman? It seems like a tossup from here, but somebody has to win!
Enjoy the games, and remember to drink like a champion today.
