Game day odds for Buccaneers, Panthers

Vegas likes Panthers in a high scoring game

The 4-7 Tampa Bay Buccaneers will be hosting their division rival Carolina Panthers this Sunday at Raymond James Stadium. Since the Panthers beat the Buccaneers 42-28 in week 9, they have lost three straight and sit at 6-5.

In no way am I a professional gambler and in no way am I telling you to put your money with what I predict. This is really just for fun and something we here at Bucs Nation thought the readers would enjoy after sports gambling was legalized. This is by far my favorite article to write throughout the week.

For those that don’t know sports gambling, I will quickly go over the three main bets that are often placed. Also, the lines could always change and the website you use, could be different from mine.

Betting with the spread: Currently, the Panthers are -3 . This means that if you were to take the Panthers with the spread, they have to win by four points in order for you to win the bet. If you take the Buccaneers +3, they can lose by 2 points and you’d win your bet. There is also the possibility of a push this weekend. If Tampa Bay losses by three points, everyone who bet with the spread gets their money back. Spread bets always have the same odds, which are -110. This means that you need to risk $110 to win $100.

Money line bets: As of late Saturday night, the Buccaneers are +150. That means a $100 dollar bet would win you $150 dollars. The Panthers currently sit at -170. If the Panthers win outright, you’d have to risk $170 dollars just to win $100.

Over/Under bets: Again, no matter what way you pick, the odds in this case are -110. Vegas sports books currently have the over under at 53 total points scored. If you take the over, the Bucs and Panthers must combined to score 54 points in order for you to win. Obviously, 52 points or under would result in a win if you go that route. Also, 53 points scored would result in a push

An off week last week. I went 0-2 and sit at 8-10 on the season, but I am really confident in these picks today.

My picks: Buccaneers Money Line, Over 53.
