For the first time in a long time this season the Jacksonville Jaguars are home favorites, as they welcome in Washington to TIAA Bank Field on Sunday. Not only are the Jaguars home favorites, but they opened as a touchdown (-7) favorite in most books and in some places the line has moved to -7.5.
Now, to be fair, Washington is starting Josh Johnson at quarterback and just got blown out by the New York Giants the week prior... but still the Jaguars offense has been putrid the last four games and it’s hard to see them scoring more than a touchdown.
Heck, maybe the defense pitches another shutout in the home finale and they get one touchdown and win 7-0.
Either way, Sunday is a game the Jaguars should win even with all their offensive problems. Washington’s offense doesn’t offer much outside of Johnson’s ability to run, though that is something the Jaguars defense has struggled with this year. I tend to think however, that this is a “blood in the water” type of game for the Jaguars defense and they come out to make plays.
