Tonight the Los Angeles Chargers take on the Pittsburgh Steelers in Pittsburgh on Sunday Night Football. This could very well end up being a preview of the first round the AFC playoffs next month. Philip Rivers leads a Chargers team that has been on a roll save for one ugly game against the Denver Broncos. They appeared to get back on track last week with their destruction of the Arizona Cardinals.
In a lot of ways, the Steelers represent a bad matchup for the Chargers, but Los Angeles is so good that they are still in position to go on the road and win as underdogs. Melvin Gordon will be missing this week, so the offense is clearly not at its best. However, the return of Joey Bosa has had the defense playing at a different level as we enter the month of December.
Pittsburgh is favored for a reason in this one, but they can’t possibly be happy to be looking across the field and seeing the Chargers.
