Mohamed Sanu’s completion streak comes to an end

It wasn’t a pretty pass, either.

All good things must come to an end, and in another weird moment from an overall weird game, wide receiver Mohamed Sanu’s run of passing completions has been snapped. Sanu entered today’s game six-for-six with a perfect 158.3 rating as a passer, but he now has one incompletion as the lone blemish on his career at quarterback.

As for the play itself: Sanu trotted out onto the field for a Falcons 3rd-and-1, lining up under center in the wildcat (or 12-Gauge, depending on your preference). Sanu took a shot at Julio Jones deep, overthrowing him for the first incomplete pass in his nearly seven-year NFL tenure.

The playcall at that moment in the game will be a source of criticism should the Falcons drop this one against the Ravens, but for now we’ll simply pour one out for Mohamed Sanu’s sterling run as a signal-caller.

It was fun while it lasted.
