Bears fall to the Giants in overtime, 30-27
Despite playing with their best quarterback (Tarik Cohen), the Bears were unable to finish after pulling off a miraculous late-game effort to send the game into overtime.

The Bears called the Detroit Special on the very last play of the game, with Cohen throwing the touchdown pass to Anthony Miller, which gave the Bears one last chance at a comeback. In overtime, they would end up turning it over on downs after a Giants field goal, handing them their first loss in six games.
Defensively, the Bears were given all the Giants had and struggled to stop the run with Saquon Barkley finishing the day with 125 rushing yards on 24 carries (5.2 ypc). The passing game wasn’t all that successful, however, aside from a trick play that resulted in a 49-yard passing TD from Odell Beckham Jr. to Russell Shepard.
Bears QB Chase Daniel had himself a day to forget with two interceptions and a QB Rating of 75.3. Jordan Howard and the running game had a much more efficient day and Tarik Cohen, who had 20 touches for 186 yards on offense, was the star of the game for them.
The Bears, sitting at 8-4, have a tough matchup ahead of them as they matchup against the 11-1 Rams.

Packers suffer embarrassing loss to the Cardinals, 20-17
It’s strange to see the Packers having such a down year, so we must enjoy it while it lasts. Losing to the 2-9 Cardinals will cause you to rethink things, and that’s exactly what the Packers did. Following the loss, they fired their head coach of 13 years, Mike McCarthy.
With the team down 17-10, Aaron Rodgers led a late-game charge to knot things up, but the Cardinals immediately responded with a field goal. With one last chance, Rodgers did his thing again and set them up for a 49-yard field goal attempt that was missed by Mason Crosby.

Vikings fall flat on national stage against the Patriots, 24-10
Not a good week for the NFC North.
The Vikings’ offense has been a major disappointment when you consider the pieces they have. They came into this game with the NFL’s worst-ranked rushing offense in DVOA, but finished with a more than respectable 95 yards on 13 attempts. This time, it was their passing offense that struggled big-time. Quarterback Kirk Cousins had another disappointing prime-time game with only 4.6 yards per attempt and two interceptions.
The game was close at halftime with the Patriots leading 10-7, but things fell out of reach once the Patriots cashed in on a James Develin touchdown run early in the fourth quarter and the Vikings couldn’t find a way to put any more points on the board.
With this loss, the Vikings are still a game-and-a-half back of the NFC North lead, but they have a decent shot at making up some ground if they can beat Seattle on the road while the Bears have their hands full with the Rams.
