PFF: Marlon Humphrey was a no-fly zone and Marshal Yanda stonewalled the Falcons

Three starts by Lamar Jackson and three victories by the Baltimore Ravens. The entire team has stepped up their game and the team is now only a half-game behind the Pittsburgh Steelers for the AFC North crown.

OFFENSE

Topping the Ravens offense was rookie TE Mark Andrews with a 72.6 game grade. Andrews caught all three passes thrown his way for 47 yards, and has proved to be a sure handed target with only 1 drop so far this season.

The rookie is blossoming into a consistent target down the seam with big-play ability. He’s finding open holes in the defense and his chemistry with Jackson is evident.

Veteran LG Marshal Yanda allowed zero pressures on his way to a 64.2 game grade. He has given up multiple pressures in only three games in 2018, and his Pass Blocking Efficiency mark of 98.9 ranks him fifth among guards.

Death, taxes and Yanda bullying defensive lineman. I think his game grade is a bit low but this is no longer protecting a stable pocket for Joe Flacco; it’s a mobile pocket with a lot more variables. Regardless, he’s rocking a top-five ranking for pass blocking efficiency and he’s one of the best in the NFL.

DEFENSE

CB Marlon Humphrey had his best performance of the season. He allowed zero receptions on three targets, with two of those passes broken up by Humphrey.

Cornerback numero uno. He’s the future. Covering Julio Jones and Calvin Ridley and thwarting their attempts to move the chains is incredible. Keep it up, Marlon.

NT Brandon Williams posted a 90.1 game grade, the sixth-highest mark among interior defenders in Week 13. Most of his work was done in the run game (84.8 run defense grade), but he also added a hurry to his stat sheet.

The Falcons produced only 15 rushing attempts and one of the biggest factors was the big-man in the middle, B-Will. He’s a force in the trenches and all dive attempts are near-failures due to Williams and Michael Pierce. This also gives the advantage because the defense knows when teams run they’re going with power, stretch or pitch-toss plays to get around Williams and Pierce. Brandon did his job, limiting the Falcons to 34 total rushing yards.
