Rams reach out to Kliff Kingsbury

The Rams are consistently looking to ramp up

If you thought the Los Angeles Rams were happy with a 10-1 start to the season, you were wrong. The Rams reached out to former Texas Tech Head Coach Kliff Kingsbury last week about joining the team this season as an offensive assistant/consultant role, per Peter Schrager:

Kingsbury is known to be an offensive guru with his offense finishing in the top-16 of “scoring offense” in the FBS three times, twice finishing inside the top-five.

Kingsbury would offer the Rams and Head Coach Sean McVay another brain to help manipulate defenses in the league and potentially altering gameplans with new plays.

The Rams lost former Offensive Coordinator Matt LaFleur to the Tenneessee Titans in the offseason, as well as QB Coach Greg Olson to the Oakland Raiders. An addition such as Kingsbury would help mitigate those losses, though the Rams’ offense clearly hasn’t needed it. They’ve improved from 29.9 points per game in 2017 to 35.4 points per game now.
