Shoulder surgery reportedly possible for Landon Collins

Safety apparently won’t play vs. Redskins

The New York Giants will reportedly be without star safety Landon Collins this Sunday against the Washington Redskins.

Per a report from Mike Garafolo, Collins could be done for the season.

Coach Pat Shurmur did not mention Collins on Monday when discussing injured players.

Collins came off the field late in the third quarter of Sunday’s game after tackling Tarik Cohen of the Chicago Bears. He did, however, return as the Giants defeated the Bears 30-27 in overtime.

Collins, 24, can be a free agent at the end of the season. He has a team-leading 96 tackles through 12 games. He does not, however, have either an interception or a sack.

Without Collins, the Giants have Curtis Riley, Michael Thomas and Sean Chandler at safety. They also have Kamrin Moore, a rookie who has only been active for one game this season.
