Thursday Night Football open thread: Chargers at Chiefs

A huge AFC matchup kicks off Week 15.

Week 15 is going to kick off with a heck of a game. Though the AFC is generally less exciting as a Detroit Lions fan, even I can appreciate a good Thursday night matchup when the rare opportunity presents itself.

The Kansas City Chiefs are one of the most exciting teams in the football, with a young quarterback in the MVP race and a slew of high-octane weapons. The Chiefs are one of the best teams in football despite having one of the worst defenses in the league.

The Los Angeles Chargers are almost the exact opposite. They are nowhere near as flashy and showy, and therefore they tend to fly under the radar every year. But Philip Rivers is playing pretty well and the Chargers are 10-3, just a game behind the Chiefs.

With only three games remaining on the schedule, this game could prove to be huge in the AFC playoff race. Winner leaves themselves a pretty good shot at a first-round bye. Loser will have their work cut out for them.

Here’s how to watch:

Game Time: 8:20 PM ET on Thursday December 13, 2018
Location - Arrowhead Stadium—Kansas City, MO
TV Channel - Fox and NFL Network - Joe Buck (play-by-play), Troy Aikman (color), Erin Andrews and Kristina Pink (sideline)
Streaming - Amazon Prime, Twitch.TV
