Super Bowl 53 will mark Brady’s 40th playoff game. There are 18 franchises that haven’t played that many, including old-money teams and former champions like the Chicago Bears and Kansas City Chiefs. When he takes the field Feb. 3, he’ll have made at least twice as many postseason appearances than eight NFL clubs — the Saints, Lions, Bengals, Panthers, Cardinals, Buccaneers, Jaguars, and Texans.

NFL sees significant drop in concussions during 2018 season | NFL
The numbers, released by the league on Thursday, show a 24 percent decrease in concussions during the preseason and regular season, from 281 in 2017 to 214 this season. The drop was particularly noteworthy in the regular season, when the number of diagnosed concussions went from 190 in 2017 to 135 in 2018 -- a 29 percent decrease. That means the average team would suffer a concussion to a player once every fourth game, while in 2017, it was once every third game.

Breeland Speaks is a big winner here, having a true position on the field. His ability to kick inside in the sub package and play the run in the base are hugely beneficial for the Chiefs. Dorian O’Daniel and Anthony Hitchens would be in significantly more comfortable roles for the style of play they are capable of, and that should only improve the Chiefs run defense and coverage ability. Chris Jones is also a big winner, seeing more one-on-ones in the base defense and he too could find snaps in Speaks’ strong-side defensive end role if the Chiefs wanted to develop a more penetrating front on some plays.

According to the article, ticket resellers were hoping for a matchup between the Chiefs and the New Orleans Saints. Their logic seems pretty solid: it would have been easy for Saints fans to drive to Atlanta to see the game in the city’s brand-new Mercedes-Benz Stadium, and Chiefs fans... well, since they hadn’t seen their team in the Super Bowl since the 1969 season, they would have been willing to travel to the game via dogsled to get to a Super Bowl in Anchorage, Alaska; a 12-hour drive to Atlanta in the family sedan (with Chiefs flags flying) would have represented no challenge at all.
