Christian McCaffrey has the most career receptions through the age of 22 in NFL history

The Panthers running back continues make history as one of the best and most versatile athletes in the NFL.

One of the biggest highlights from the Panthers’ 2018 season came from Christian McCaffrey’s monster campaign.

He produced 1098 rushing yards on 219 attempts and 867 receiving yards on 107 receptions. He was 133 yards short of becoming the third running back in NFL history to have 1000 yards in both rushing and receiving. The other two backs were Roger Craig and Marshall Faulk. Both Craig and Faulk had more time to achieve this feat, though. Craig met the goal while he played in the playoffs with the San Francisco 49ers in 1985. Faulk met the goal in 1999 when his Rams won the Super Bowl. Unfortunately, the Panthers didn’t play well enough in the second half of the season for McCaffrey to have enough time to meet this achievement. However, he did get an all-pro selection, so he did receive some appropriate recognition for his incredible season. He also made NFL history with this incredible stat below:

McCaffrey is at the top of this list, and it is full of wide receivers (with the exception of Reggie Bush). As a 22 year old, he has more receptions than the likes of Randy Moss and Larry Fitzgerald when they were his age. If that wasn’t impressive enough, check out this phenomenal highlight tape he posted:

Personally, I believe he will get 1000 single-season yards in both rushing and receiving someday. He is that good. The Panthers just need to perform much better while McCaffrey is in his prime. What do you think, Panthers fans?
