Colts-Chiefs announce inactives; Hooker, Berry, and Ware all out in Divisional matchup

The Indianapolis Colts and Kansas City Chiefs have officially announced their inactives for their Divisional Round matchup today in Kansas City.

Well, here we are Indianapolis Colts fans. The Colts are set to take on the Kansas City Chiefs on the road for the chance to move on to the AFC Championship Game.

As they head into terrible weather for this matchup, the Colts had only ruled out Ryan Grant following Thursday’s practice, but yesterday they announced that DE Tyquan Lewis has indeed been also downgraded from doubtful to out.

Quite honestly I think Lewis being out certainly makes things harder for the Colts’ front four, as Patrick Mahomes is the best in the league at going downfield after escaping the pocket. Lewis’ speed and explosion would have given the Colts an additional threat to get to Mahomes early, but it looks as though his knee issue would have only hampered him on the field.

The Colts have now announced those who are officially inactive for today’s Divisional Round matchup against the Chiefs.

As for the Chiefs, they hadn’t ruled out anyone as of yesterday, but Dorian O’Daniel was listed as doubtful, while Eric Berry, Spencer Ware, and Sammy Watkins were all designated as questionable. Earlier this morning, Adam Schefter tweeted that there was real doubt as to whether Ware or Berry would suit up for today’s game.

The Chiefs have now announced their Divisional Round inactives as well.
