Chris Grier lands his right-hand man
When the Dolphins fired head coach Adam Gase and “reassigned” VP of football operations Mike Tannenbaum, it was uncertain what Chris Grier would do with full control.
And if the last few days have shown us anything, it’s that Chris Grier-for right or wrong- has a plan.
The plan?
First, Grier plans to hire Patriots’ defacto defensive coordinator Brian Flores. That is of course, once the evil empire gets eliminated from the playoffs (GO CHIEFS!)
But who would be Grier’s right-hand man? We now have our answer...
According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the Dolphins will hire former Buffalo Bills’ scout Marvin Allen as Assistant General Manager.
Buffalo national scout Marvin Allen is leaving the Bills’ to become the Dolphins’ assistant GM, per league sources. Allen and Dolphins’ GM Chris Grier have a strong relationship.

Admittedly, I don’t know much about Marvin Allen. But thankfully for us, Chris Kouffman of 3 Yards Per Carry has the rundown.
The guy Grier just hired as his #1 was KC’s Director of College Scouting from 2013 to 2017 when they drafted Mahomes, Tyreek Hill, Kareem Hunt, Chris Jones, Marcus Peters, Dee Ford, Eric Fisher, T. Kelce, Zach Fulton, M. Morse, C. Conley, Steven Nelson, Laurent Duvernay-Tardif.

How do you feel about the direction of the Miami Dolphins? Do you have faith in Grier?
