Philadelphia injury news.
The Philadelphia Eagles released their second official injury report on Thursday in advance of their Wild Card game against the Chicago Bears.
The good news is that Nick Foles was upgraded to a full participant after being listed as limited on Wednesday. He’s on track to start Sunday, as expected. Jason Kelce was also upgraded to full go.
SIX players were limited on Thursday: Fletcher Cox, Jason Peters, Isaac Seumalo, Mike Wallace, Avonte Maddox, and Wendell Smallwood.
Cox and Peters are fully expected to play. Doug Pederson is likely taking it easy on them.
Seumalo is reportedly expected to start at left guard on Sunday, assuming no setbacks.
It’s still unclear if Wallace will play this week. He might not be good to go until next week’s Divisional Round, assuming the Eagles make it there.
Maddox is a new addition to the injury report with an oblique issue. Hopefully it’s nothing too serious because the Eagles need him out there. If Maddox can’t play, it could be Josh Hawkins starting at corner. You probably didn’t even realize a guy with that name was on the team.
Smallwood is also a new addition to the injury report. Hopefully his hand issue won’t limit his ability to contribute.
FOUR players did not practice: Carson Wentz, Michael Bennett, Sidney Jones, and D.J. Alexander. No surprises here. Bennett is the only player from that group expected to suit up on Sunday.
The Eagles will release their third and final official injury report on Friday.
