It’s January of 2019, and the Buffalo Bills playoff drought sits at [checks watch] one season. It’s a tough road, knowing the Bills won’t be suiting up at all for another few months, but we will soldier on.
Today, Bills fans will get to watch some playoff football with decidedly lower stakes than last year’s contest against the Jacksonville Jaguars. (It should hopefully be more entertaining than that 10-3 game, too.)
Feel free to chat about today in the comments below. Here’s your viewing info and Bills connections:
Indianapolis Colts at Houston Texans
4:35 p.m. Eastern
ESPN/ABC
Former Bills quarterback Frank Reich leads the Indianapolis Colts to Houston to take on the Texans. Buffalo lost to the Colts in a blowout earlier this season.
Two former Bills are on Houston’s roster; backup quarterback/wide receiver/special teamer Joe Webb (two catches) and cornerback Sharecee Wright (25 tackles on the season). Houston Texans GM Brian Gaine was with the Bills as assistant GM last year.
Seattle Seahawks at Dallas Cowboys
8:15 p.m. Eastern
FOX
Former Bills interior lineman Adam Redmond is a backup for Dallas and Sanjay Lal is the wide receivers coach, the same job he had in Buffalo.
The Seahawks don’t seem to care for former Bills.
