This is everything you need to know about the NFL Combine!
With the Chicago Bears not scheduled to draft until the third round in the 2019 NFL Draft, that means we’re going to have our eyes on a wide range of prospects at the NFL Combine this year. The Bears will have the following overall picks, 87th, 126th, 162nd, 222nd and the 238th. The true, hardcore draftniks are fired up to look for those diamond in the rough prospects. Considering how successful Bears’ general manager Ryan Pace has done in the later rounds, that adds to the fun in trying to figure out which late round prospect he and his scouts could have their eyes on.
Keep in mind that all the action isn’t taking place on the field in Indianapolis as this is a great time for agents to start planting seeds on behalf of their clients. Free agency rumors will start to ramp up over the weekend simply based on who is talking to who.
And speaking of who is talking to who, this is also when we’ll start to hear about the Bears talking to certain prospects, both formally and informally.
Jacob Infante recently ran down the Bears needs right here, and he’ll also be down in Indy covering the Combine, so keep a look out for his daily notebooks. I’ll also have Jacob on my T Formation Conversation Podcast next week to talk about the experience.
