NFL awarded compensatory draft picks today - Patriots and Rams each received two third-round picks. The full list, per sources: pic.twitter.com/NDYBU01WKA
They get an extra pick in the sixth round, number 207 overall, then three extra picks in the seventh round, picks 248, 249 and the final pick of the 2019 NFL Draft, Mr. Irrelevant, number 254.
The Cardinals now have picks:
1.01
2.01 (33)
3.01 (65)
4.01 (103)
5.01 (139)
6.01 (174)
6.06 (179)
6.35 (207)
7.34 (248)
7.35 (249)
7.40 (254)
The Arizona Cardinals have 11 picks in the 2019 NFL Draft, but only three in the top 100 and only five in the top 150.
The six picks in the sixth and seventh round may yield two or three bodies on the final 53 man roster.
So, it is true the Arizona Cardinals have a lot of picks this season, but the quality of those picks could be debated fairly easily.
We’ll see how many picks they end up making in this draft.
Trading down and getting more picks almost seems useless unless they are including a bevy of these late round picks to make sure they end up with only 9-10 picks overall.
Anything more than that just seems to be excess for a roster.
