Michael Schofield allowed five sacks in and four hits in 2018, and he was the good half of the Chargers’ guard tandem. Among all qualified guards in 2018, Dan Feeney had the lowest pass-blocking grade (38.3), the fifth-lowest overall grade (43.8), and the sixth-lowest pass-blocking efficiency grade (95.1). Fluker, two years removed from his previous Chargers tenure, might have been a, well, fluke in 2018, when he put up a career-best 75.1 pass-blocking grade in Seattle (27th at the position), but the Chargers should dive in and find out. He has to be an improvement on Feeney.

Without his fellow linemate Joey Bosa, Ingram’s efficiency took a drastic step back in 2018. Some of that can also be explained by the fact that the Chargers couldn’t afford to have Ingram come off the field, and he rushed the passer 547 times, the most of any season in his career. With Bosa back and likely a lightened load in 2019, Ingram should get back to his 80-plus pass-rushing grade.

To quote Oakland Raiders’ Jon Gruden, “Good pass rushers are hard to find.” For that reason, a lot of NFL teams, including Gruden’s Raiders, will be looking to add talented pass rushers to their rosters in the offseason.

Smith-Schuster finished as a top-10 wide receiver and saw 61.5% of his snaps come in the slot. In total their six of the top-12 PPR finishers ran 30% or more of their routes from the slot – Smith-Schuster, Thielen (57.1), Keenan Allen (55.6), Woods (55.3), Hill (44.8), and Michael Thomas (30.1)

The Rams are making another change to their coaching staff. So far this offseason they’ve lost Zac Taylor to the Bengals, promoted Jedd Fisch and Shane Waldron, and hired Wade Phillips’ son Wes to be their tight ends coach. Now, they’re hiring away Eric Henderson from the Chargers to be their new defensive line coach, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network (Twitter link). Henderson had been serving as an assistant defensive line coach with the Chargers.
