Who else made the list?
The rankings are in! Every year Pro Foobtall Focus releases it’s top 101 graded players for the season, and this time around four Philadelphia Eagles’ made the cut.
Without further adieu, here are the top Eagles’ on the list.
#5 - FLETCHER COX
We love Cox, PFF loves Cox, everybody loves Cox. How could you not? He’s the engine that makes the Eagles’ defense go and a top tier player in the league. There’s always a discussion around the Eagles’ front four that revolves around adding another interior presence to “free up Cox”. Even when he doesn’t have that sidekick and he’s receiving the bulk of doubles and center slides, Cox still gets the job done.

“There’s an argument to be made for Fletcher Cox having the very best second-best season of all time, and more people would be talking about his 2018 campaign if it weren’t for the sheer domination of Aaron Donald. Cox ended the year ranked second among interior defenders with an overall grade of 92.5, and his 101 quarterback pressures were the most we’ve ever seen from a defensive tackle not named Donald.”
#50 - BRANDON GRAHAM
Bitter sweet. Graham is likely to walk in free agency, but we can appreciate his contributions all the same. Graham didn’t look at 100% health until the second half of the season and once he did he was an impact player. Regardless of what happens next, his legend will forever live on due to his clutch strip sack of Tom Brady in Super Bowl LII (which the Eagles won).
“...his 70 total pressures (56 hurries, nine hits, five sacks) were the fourth-most for an edge defender in 2018.”
#64 - JASON KELCE
Is Kelce the best center in the NFL? I would make that case, and many others would as well. Despite being a Pro Bowl snub, Kelce fought through a banged up 2018 to turn in yet another dynamic performance. The Eagles’ offense would look much different without the supremely athletic and technically proficient center.

“The Cincinnati grad turned Philadelphia legend led all centers in run-blocking grade (80.6) while ranking second behind Oakland’s Rodney Hudson in pass-blocking grade (88.0).”
#91 - ZACH ERTZ
If you set a record for your position, chances are you’ll find yourself on this list. I’d argue he’s too low given his production and reliability, but rankings aside you’d be hard pressed to find a more polished route runner at the position.
“In his sixth season, he finished as the sixth-highest graded player at the position with an overall grade of 76.0 and a 79.5 receiving grade.”
I’d be lying if I said Ertz being the “sixth-highest graded player” at tight end didn’t grind my gears.
With 2018 behind us, we look to the future. Ertz was the only new entry for the Eagles in PFF’s top 101. The hope is younger players can soon become staples. Who steps up next year?
