On John Elway’s unsuccessful track record signing/drafting QBs:
He wants to remain the greatest QB in Broncos history.

On overpaying for elite talent:
All the more reason to go hard after Paradis, if made available, or Morse if not.
And the more I think of it, the more I’m on board with signing Jarrett, if he actually hits the market. It’s mainly because of the FA talent:cost conundrum… I hate the idea of overpaying for mediocrity but have no problem with overpaying for elite production/impact. I guess I’d rather get 2 elite players than four or five adequate to good ones.

On whether or not prospects should be judged if they have interests other than football:
I hate that guys get knocked for their dedication bc they have the intellect to be interested in other things. Such a child way to evaluate prospects, imo. These guys have been playing football at a high level their whole lives, for nothing. Just bc they love it. Their. Whole. Lives. Now some nfl scout is gonna have doubts bc he can actually read a book…? Pro scouts are dumb.

On Greedy Williams as a prospect:
Greedy Williams
Blue chip production? Check ”Born in a lab” measurable?? Check Dominance at a young age?? Check Post combine Greedy will be considered the best CB prospect since Patrick Peterson and a legitimate consideration at pick #3

On why teams might not necessarily trade up for a QB:
Everyone keeps mentioning QB needy teams
I think you get more trade up chatter if Quinnen is here at #3. Even Bosa or Allen. Talent wise there is a big drop off from these three alot of the rest have question marks. What’s to stop.a team.like Green bay who has 12, 30 and 44 in there pocket. Detroit or even Tampa may want this kid.

On whether or not josh Allen is an elite prospect:
It’s completely insane to me
That people think this way. If it’s two it’s Bosa/Q, Allen is NOT an elite prospect. It’s nonsensical that he’s gotten this kind of hype. The man has no clue what he’s doing rushing the passer, he has one move (speed rush) NO counters, and he’s not super strong. If you have him as a hybrid off ball/pass rusher type, then you have a nice piece of clay to mold. Other than that, his hype is being blown way out of proportion.

On the potential that OBJ gets traded to the 49ers:
We need to hope that OBJ ends up on the niners. If so, the giants likely end up with the 2nd pick in some sort of swap. This will either cause someone to trade up to 1 for a QB, leaving us Bosa or create competition for our pick

On Antonio Brown’s value:
1) American sports generally reward past production, and he has produced at an unparalleled rate without any signs of slowing 2) this is meaningless. diva rep is just something that receivers who dare to speak get slapped with. 3) This is a pretty basic smear campaign tactic that nfl teams use. Veterans of his caliber skip practice all the time, that stuff has bee irrelevant to his on-field production. 4) his game is not reliant on top speed. He has never been the fastest guy on the field. He’s a technician. 5) I’m not disputing that the entire system is broken. Part of the value these guys generate is in ticket and jersey sales. Brown is going to make any team that signs him an immediate fortune. And clearly he is at a place where he knows his value to a team and isn’t willing to play nice. That will hurt his value to the steelers in what they can get for him, but there is no reason it should hurt his value as a player.

On his preferred Free Agent WR signing:
If the plan is to sign a wide receiver then I’d like that wide receiver to be Cole
I think the best values in FA tend to be the older “band aid” players who are in no way being viewed as long term solutions. Cole fits that bill to a tee. Probably will get production greater than an Adam Humphries from 1/2 the price and 1/2 the years. Sign me up
