After sitting out for the entirety of the 2018 season, star running back Le’Veon Bell will soon find a new team as free agency approaches.
While discussing possible destinations for Bell on Good Morning Football, Kay Adams suggested Baltimore as her wish list team.
When asked if the scenario made sense, NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport responded by saying “yeah, it makes sense.” Adding “because they wanted a running back who could also catch passes so bad they traded for one this past season.” The running back in discussion being Ty Montgomery, who was acquired from GreenBay in exchange for a 2020 seventh-round draft pick.
Social media quickly reacted, including several prominent Ravens players and even Bell himself.

Such a response could indicate interest on Bell’s side, after all, he would be able to play his former team twice a season with Baltimore. If Bell truly feels wronged by the Pittsburgh Steelers organization, then this could be a major deciding factor when choosing a new home.
Both starting safeties for Baltimore responded as well.

If all of this wasn’t enough to stir the pot of Bell to Baltimore theories, Bell had an interesting Instagram story in response to being followed by quarterback Lamar Jackson on the website.

First-year General Manager Eric DeCosta will have more money than recent years to spend for the Ravens this offseason, but it remains unclear how much Bell demands as he soon turns 27-years old later this month on February 18.
Although his body received a full year of rest from football, Bell received a lot of wear and tear to his body as Pittsburgh’s workhorse style running back for several years and has only played a full 16-game season once in his career in 2014.
While Bell certainly fits the mold of an offensive playmaker that the Ravens have desperately lacked for years, undrafted running back Gus Edwards and former fourth-round pick Kenneth Dixon came on strong in Baltimore’s new run-heavy offense under Jackson last season, and for a combined fraction of the cost that Bell would command.

Surrounding Jackson with talent and support on offense should be the number one priority for the team this offseason and Bell is certainly a possibility. The likelihood has yet to be determined, however.
