Your San Francisco 49ers links for Saturday, February 23rd, 2019
The 49ers’ pockets are a bit lighter for draft picks this year. It’s rather odd since a few years back, Trent Baalke would have 11 of these things to toss around on draft day. The 49ers had five official picks and now have been granted a sixth compensatory pick with the Aaron Lynch departure. So six picks total.
Now suddenly, the 49ers need more picks when they had more than enough before. This final pick makes for a good bankroll on draft day if John Lynch and company decide to wheel and deal. They might need more picks if more stars emerge from the NFL Combine that begins this coming Tuesday.
So why am I talking about a draft pick anyways? Well there is that thing, but the less said about it right now, the better. I want to make a joke, but when you realize human trafficking is involved, the only act appropriate is to get sick to your stomach.
So let’s not do that, let’s get to these links instead.
