How have past players been faring in the new AAF?
I don’t know about the rest of you guys, but I really enjoy the new football league. Although it is far from a finished product, the AAF is on the right path and it could not have had a better opening weekend. This past slate of games saw a similar viewership and attendance was on the rise.
Hell, it’s even got #DraftTwitter in a buzz as everyone was scrambling to find which team to pledge their allegiance to prior to the first whistle of the opening games. I truly think this is a product that will last and continue to evolve over the years, as long as the fans continue to show their support.
One thing that makes it easier for fans to tune in and enjoy these games is the fact that there are a number of former players on each roster with some having possibly played on your favorite NFL squad.
When it comes to fans of the Chargers, they have it easy as there are a number of former players spread across the AAF, at least one on four of the eight inaugural teams.
Through the first two weeks of the season, some have seen more praise than others, but a handful have played a key role on their team’s early success.
