Kareem Hunt won’t be joining the Eagles

There’s one RB option off the board.

Kareem Hunt won’t be signing with the Philadelphia Eagles. The former Kansas City Chiefs running back is joining the Cleveland Browns, according to an official announcement.

There was previously some buzz that the Eagles would have interest in signing Hunt. He was speculated to be a potential free agent target.

Signing Hunt would’ve made sense for the Eagles from an on-field perspective. With Jay Ajayi and Darren Sproles potentially not coming back in 2019, Philadelphia could really afford to upgrade their backfield talent.

There are obvious concerns about Hunt — who is still subject to suspension — when it comes to off-field issues. The Browns ultimately felt it was worth the risk for them. It’s worth noting that Cleveland general manager John Dorsey drafted Hunt when he was still running the Chiefs.

With Hunt off the board, the Eagles will look elsewhere to address their needs. You can CLICK HERE to read about the top five running backs in the 2019 NFL Draft. Additionally, here’s a look at free agent running back options, via Rotoworld:
