Le'Veon Bell showcases new black and gold cleats on Twitter

Le’Veon Bell surfaced on social media this week, and the nature of the disgruntled running back’s tweet is sure to pique the interest of Pittsburgh Steelers fans. Bell, whose NFL future is no clearer now than it was when he sat out the entire Steelers’ offseason program — and then the entire season — took to Twitter to showcase some new cleats which feature the classic black and gold of the Steelers. A perfectly reasonable assumption would be that Bell is perhaps hinting that he and the Steelers have not reached a point of no return and it’s conceivable the running back could be back in Pittsburgh next season. That assumption arguably would be an incorrect one. Bell is expected to hit free agency in March, but the Steelers could use the transition tag on the running back. Such a move would give the team the ability to match any offer that Bell receives, although it’s highly unlikely the Steelers will do so due to a multitude of factors.
