Minnesota Vikings News and Links: February 16th and 17th, 2019

Weekend Open Thread

Good Morning!

It’s my weekend off which means I’ll be catching up on all the stuff around the house I couldn’t take care of while I was working; we’re supposed to get a high of 80 today so instead of throwing hate looks at my lawn I should probably do something with it... or not since it’s the weekend. We’re between significant events in the league year, if you see some Vikings or league news feel free to post it in the comments. Yes that’s a picture of Brandon Zylstra, yes I’m going to keep posting pictures of him and Chad Beebe. While I have a little time, we’ll catch up on our NFC North opponents this weekend and then we’ll carry on with our news and links open thread full of beer recommendations, nap strategies, crock pot and smoker recipes. Fire up the mock drafts and drop by for some fan wisdom, snark and have a 110K+OT Batch #6.

Around the DN since our last open thread:

AAF Schedule Week 2: Salt Lake Stallions play early game on Saturday from Chris.

League news:

Consistent with the weekend news and links I’ll post league news in the comments.

We come to today’s media selection: Royal Blood - Out Of The Black
(this video had a warning label, so here’s your warning)

Again, we all know the rules, but in case someone is new:
-No discussion of politics or religion
-No feeding of the trolls
-This isn’t a male version of The View, so leave the gender hatred at the door
-Keep the bad language to a minimum (using the spoiler tags, if you must)
-Speaking of which, if discussing a newer show or movie, please use spoiler tags
-No pictures that could get someone fired or in serious trouble with their employer
-If you can’t disagree in a civil manner, feel free to go away
-While navigating the open thread, just assume it’s sarcasm.
With that, the beer light is on and the bar is open. Belly up & tie one on. Don’t forget to tip your waitress, try the Tears of Our Rivals™ and as always, Welcome Aboard!
