Though he doesn’t get the same love as Bosa and Allen do at the top of the draft, Florida State’s Brian Burns is loaded with pass-rushing talent. His 90.4 pass-rush grade tied for eighth at his position this past season, and he ranked third in the country in total pressures with 66.
JACHAI POLITE, FLORIDA EDGE
The love for Florida’s Jachai Polite is growing for all the right reasons. The 20-year-old edge prospect has an array of pass-rush moves and should continue to develop at the next level, all adding to his high-end pass-rush potential.
Burns and Polite are a pair of high-upside outside linebackers the Ravens could target in the first round if Za’Darius Smith departs.
Why I’m Rooting for a Boring Offseason - John Eisenberg
Rather than see the Ravens make the big, splashy move, I’d rather see them go boring.
When I recently doodled a 2019 to-do list for the Ravens’ offense, I put “upgrade the line” at No. 1. I think that’s the most important thing they need to do on that side of the ball.
They’ve committed to a run-oriented offense with Jackson under center and Greg Roman in charge. The foundation of such an attack is the five guys up front. They open the holes, set the tone, make it all work. It doesn’t matter who the quarterback and running back are unless the line is superior.
As the New England Patriots and Los Angeles Rams cruised through the playoffs on the way to Super Bowl 53, their lines absolutely dominated.
My two cents, the Ravens are better off spending their big money elsewhere, starting with the O-line. Boring never made more sense.
Eisenberg makes a compelling argument - top notch offensive line play is the key to a successful offense and probably the most important unit on either side of the ball. Unless a can’t-miss receiver is on the board when Eric DeCosta goes on the clock, bolstering the blocking group would likely be the most beneficial choice.

Out of the players on this list, Wormley enjoyed the best 2018 season and has most fully proven his competence on the NFL level. The question now is this: How much better can the 2017 third-rounder get? With Brent Urban’s contract expiring, a full-time starting role might be available and Wormley will enter the mix for more snaps in his always-crucial third NFL season. A strong year could convince Baltimore that Wormley deserves to be a part of the defensive line rotation for years to come.
The former third round pick from Michigan lined up on 39-percent of all defensive snaps last season, producing 13 solo tackles, five pass deflections, two tackles for loss, two quarterback hits and a sack.
