Richard Sherman will try to recruit his friend but says he likes Dallas.
The sun has risen and it’s a new day, and that means there’s yet another bread crumb in the Earl Thomas to Dallas trail. As the former All Pro safety prepares to enter free agency, the Cowboys have emerged as a serious contender for Thomas’ services mostly due to the positional need next to Xavier Woods and the player’s own love for his hometown team.
But on Wednesday, 49ers cornerback Richard Sherman, who played alongside Thomas for seven seasons, admitted that he was trying to recruit the star safety to come to San Francisco. However, Sherman also admitted that it’ll be tough to convince Thomas to go anywhere but Dallas if the money is equal.
Just bumped into Richard Sherman who continues to recruit former teammate and soon-to-be FA Earl Thomas. Said the Cowboys will be very much in the mix and if offers are even Thomas will go to Dallas.

If true, this would slightly increase the odds for the Cowboys to finally get Thomas on their team after trying to trade for him last year. The 49ers do have more cap space to where they could offer a bigger deal, but between his age and coming off a season-ending injury, the market for Thomas might be limited.
Nevertheless, it appears that the ET to Dallas bandwagon has never been rolling forward with more steam than it is right now. And we’ll know for sure in a few weeks when the new league year begins and free agency opens.
