Things
Happy Saturday, ya filthy animals. Hoping this post finds you well. Let’s see what random stuff we can’t speak on today...
Who ya taking, armchair GM’s?
Sunday Night Football on NBC dropped this tweet last night and I thought it’d spark some good discussion. If you were putting a squad together, which of these four youngsters are you making the keystone of your offense.

Mitchell Trubisky’s name popped up as a common response (from fans), as well. Should Wentz be in this mix? I still think there are many that would rather have Dak than Goff.
Who’s your guy?
The AAF kicks off on Saturday night. You watching?
Football is back! Sort of. If you love football, I imagine you’ll tune in to at least see how tonight’s Alliance of American Football games play out. Here’s the schedule for the opening weekend:
Saturday, 8:00 p.m. ET: Atlanta Legends at Orlando Apollos – CBS
Saturday, 8:00 p.m. ET: San Diego Fleet at San Antonio Commanders – CBS
Sunday, 4:00 p.m. ET: Memphis Express at Birmingham Iron – CBS Sports Network
Sunday, 8:00 p.m. ET: Salt Lake Stallions at Arizona Hotshots – NFL Network
There appear to be several former Rams sprinkled throughout the league. Heck, the San Diego Fleet are coached by Mike Martz, have a wide receivers coach in Az-Zahir Hakim, and legendary Rams’ receiver Nelson Spruce will undoubtedly be out there shredding the Commanders’ defense.
Former Rams’ running backs Zac Stacy and Aaron Green are also in the league, as is Super Bowl winning QB Garrett Gilbert! DEMETRIUS RHANEY! Surely there are many others.
You tuning in? Rooting for any team in particular? Simply hoping it’s watchable?
Saturday roundball: Duke at UVA
You get down on college basketball? Today’s premier matchup is No. 3 Duke at No. 2 UVA. Duke escaped with a 2-point victory when these teams met at Cameron Indoor a few weeks ago, but the Cavaliers will have an opportunity to even the score at home this afternoon (6pm ET, ESPN).
Who ya got?
If you could pick one former Ram to join the 2019 squad...
Let’s say pre-Greatest Show on Turf...which former Rams’ player - St. Louis, Los Angeles, Cleveland(?) - would you add to the 2019 roster to help get them the Lombardi that so narrowly escaped them this season?
Grammy’s prediction(s) anyone?
Looks like the Grammy’s are on CBS tomorrow night (Feb. 10). I’m not much for award shows, but I do get down on all types of music. Any predictions for Album of the Year?
