Sean McVay: Todd Gurley healthy, expected 'to play a big role'

Todd Gurley was barely a factor in the NFC Championship Game as the Los Angeles Rams punched their ticket to Super Bowl LIII. Based on comments made by head coach Sean McVay on Friday, he’s going to play a much bigger role on Super Bowl Sunday. Speaking to reporters during his Friday media session, McVay said Gurley is “feeling good, a hundred percent. We expect him to play a big role in this game,” per Charean Williams of Pro Football Talk. McVay noted that, while Gurley only had five touches in the NFC title game, “he still played a good amount of snaps.” “He should be good. But I think really our team, as a whole, is feeling really good just having two weeks since our last game and looking forward to the challenge and competing to the best of our ability.” He also mentioned that some of the times Gurley was on the field during the NFC title game the Rams were in positions to throw the ball more.
