- Jon Gruden sees potential in trading draft picks (NFL.com) - Upon his return to the Raider Nation, coach Jon Gruden’s first season back with the Raiders -- in his hopes of rebuilding the once storied franchise -- became more noted for the two trades and three first-round draft picks than the meager four victories. As the offseason has proved to be much the same in its chaotic ways with the Raiders still searching for a 2019 home before moving to Las Vegas in 2020, Gruden contends the wheeling and dealing might not yet be done.
- What Denver’s offense could look like with Joe Flacco (ESPN) - The Denver Broncos can’t admit they’ve traded for quarterback Joe Flacco. They can’t say how excited they are, and they can’t explain why they did it or even why they think Flacco is the guy to help them break a three-year playoff drought. But that doesn’t mean the team’s offensive coaches haven’t begun, in earnest, planning for what the playbook will look like with Flacco behind center.
- Investor can still pull plug on AAF (Sports Business Daily) - New AAF Chair Tom Dundon, contrary to reports, has not invested $250M into the league, but has only “committed” to fund that amount over an undisclosed period of time. Two sources said Dundon can stop funding if he decides the investment is no longer worth it.
