2019 NFL Draft: Sunday’s NFL Combine open thread

Today features the on-field workouts for defensive linemen and linebackers

The 2019 NFL Combine’s on-field workouts rolls on today, starting at 9:00 AM Eastern. You can view it live on the NFL Network or at the NFL’s Combine Hub. Today we’ll see the edge rushers, defensive tackles and linebackers take over the turf.

Nick Bosa and Josh Allen may be the pass rushers that are the most highly thought-of coming into the Combine, but it’s two Floridian edge defenders that will “win” the drills. Florida Gator Jachai Polite and Florida State Seminole Brian Burns are both fluid athlete that should be expected to ball out most of the events.

Fans should expect likely first-rounder defensive tackles Ed Oliver and Rashan Gary to test extremely well, but guys like Khalen Saunders and Dre’Mont Jones will be right up there, looking to build some hype of their own.

The linebacker class this year lacks the pizzazz of 2018’s but Devin Bush, Vosean Joseph and especially Terrill hanks will be able to put on a bit of a show. All three project as coverage ‘backers at the next level
