Bears sign guard Ted Larsen

Here’s a run down on the latest free agent moves by the Chicago Bears.

In their first official move of the 2019 free agency, the Chicago Bears brought back a familiar face in interior offensive lineman Ted Larsen.

The Miami Dolphins released the 31-year old Larsen last week after he played the last two seasons with them. During his time in Florida, he started 21 of the 23 games he appeared in, and overall the 9 year veteran has played in 125 games in his career. Prior to his time with the ‘Fins, he played the 2016 season with the Bears, picking up 8 starts while playing in all 16 games. Larsen can play all three interior offensive line positions and will provide good depth in case of injury.

In other free agency moves, the Bears made it official with Cordarrelle Patterson (WR/RB/KR), Mike Davis (RB), and Buster Skrine (CB).

They also tendered contracts to exclusive rights free agents Rashaad Coward (OL), Isaiah Irving (OLB), and Roy Robertson-Harris (DE).

They also declined tendering offers to restricted free agents Patrick Scales (LS) and DeAndre Houston-Carson (S).

This last one was already reported, but they officially released kicker Cody Parkey.

One more free agency nugget, the Bears have met with safety HaHa Clinton-Dix tonight and they’ll also meet with him tomorrow, this according to the NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.
