Bills agree to terms with former Bengals TE Tyler Kroft, per reports

Entering his fifth year, the 26-year-old is coming off another injury

The Buffalo Bills add another body to the tight-end room, agreeing to terms with former Cincinnati Bengals TE Tyler Kroft. According to his agent, Mike McCartney, Kroft signed a three-year deal with the Bills. Ian Rapoport of NFL Network has the details of the contract.

Kroft is coming off a foot injury that caused him to miss 11 games of the 2018 season—and which landed him on the season-ending injured-reserve list. 2017 was someone of breakout year compared to his two years prior with 42 catches for 404 yards and seven touchdowns.

Kroft was primarily used as a blocker during his time with the Bengals but at 6’6” 250 lbs his potential as a legitimate red-zone threat for Josh Allen and the Bills offense is undeniable.

Three years and $18.75 million seems a bit rich for Kroft, but fills a void nonetheless.
