Cornerback Kevin Johnson reportedly visiting Buffalo Bills

The former first rounder was recently released by the Texans

The Buffalo Bills have jumped out to an early start to free agency, as the club is reportedly hosting former Houston Texans cornerback Kevin Johnson today. Johnson is a former first-round pick, selected 16th overall in the 2015 NFL Draft out of Wake Forest.

Johnson was released by the Texans on Tuesday, after struggling with a number of injuries over the past three season. Injuries kept him off the field for all but one game in 2018 after suffering numerous concussions. One can expect that if Johnson were to sign in Buffalo, he would provide depth and competition for Levi Wallace at cornerback.

While in Houston, Johnson played for John Butler, who is the currently the secondary coach for the Bills. Butler was the secondary coach in Houston for Johnson’s first three seasons, and it would be somewhat of a reunion should the free-agent corner sign with the Bills.
