Live updates from Indy as the defensive backs close out the 2019 NFL Combine.
The final day of the 2019 NFL Combine is here and it’s a doozy for the Detroit Lions. Cornerback is arguably the team’s biggest need, and Monday morning will provide some of the top secondary prospects the opportunity to prove their athletic prowess.
Can Penn State’s Amani Oruwariye push his way into the first round conversation? Can Greedy Williams shake off concerns about his tackling and regain some hype for a top-10 pick? Where do Byron Murphy and DeAndre Baker belong in the conversation?
And don’t rule out the safeties, either. Sure the Lions have Quandre Diggs and Tracy Walker, but when the Lions go to three-safety looks—as they often do—who will they call upon now that Glover Quin is gone? Alabama’s Deionte Thompson? Virginia’s Juan Thornhill? Mississippi State’s Johnathan Abram?
Stick around here as we watch the best defensive backs go through all the drills at the NFL Combine. Below we’ll have our draft-specific Twitter list giving you live updates as the Combine gets underway at 9 a.m. ET. Be sure to leave your thoughts in the comment section, too!
