He’s due in court on 16 March
After dealing with a pretty awful trend of bad behavior for the early part of the 2000s, the Minnesota Vikings’ franchise has really turned itself around in terms of off-field behavior. Today, unfortunately, we have to bring you a story about a member of the team that’s been arrested and is currently facing a court date.
JUST IN: @Vikings RB Roc Thomas charged with felony drug possession. A team spokesman says they "have expressed our disappointment directly to Roc ... We will respect both the legal process and the NFL’s disciplinary process."

According to Daren Sukhram of KSTP in Minneapolis, running back Roc Thomas was arrested on 16 January in Dakota County. If you can’t read the charge on the picture clearly, here’s what it says:
Charge Description: On or about January 16, 2019, in the County of Dakota, Minnesota, RACEAN DEON THOMAS, did unlawfully possess one or more mixtures containing a controlled substance in Schedule I, II, III, or IV, except a small amount of marijuana. To whit: 143.28 grams of marijuana.
Thomas is reportedly due in court in Dakota County on 16 March.
Thomas, an undrafted free agent out of Jacksonville State, split his time between the Vikings’ practice squad and 53-man roster before going on injured reserve. He’s thought to potentially be a part of the Vikings’ future at running back backing up Dalvin Cook. We’ll have to see how this will, potentially, affect that situation going forward.
