Ever wonder what it was like going man-to-man in press coverage against T.O.? Geoff Pope tells all.
Tiffany, Nicole and Caylin caught up with former New York Giant and Super Bowl 42 champion, Geoff Pope. Pope went undrafted to the Miami Dolphins in 2007 and finished his career with the Philadelphia Eagles, with a stanza on the Cincinnati Bengals in between. After finishing his professional career he went on to receive an MBA from Columbia University. He is now a VP for Aon Risk Solutions and the creator of the Left, Center, Right business model.
Pope joins the trio to discuss his perception of the Redskins over the years and what he believes the team needs to change in order to better optics and increase fan support. In addition he shared his experience being recruited to an HBCU, what it was like going mano y mano in press coverage against Terrell Owens in the heart of a playoff hunt, and tries his hand at Howard University trivia.
He also shared his perspective on being undrafted and what it meant to come from a lower level Division l school and get a shot at the NFL where “If you’re a dog, you’re a dog.”
