After leading his Los Angeles Rams to a Super Bowl appearance this past season, quarterback Jared Goff is now eligible for an extension. He joins the likes of Dak Prescott and Carson Wentz as young quarterbacks who could potentially be inked to record-breaking long-term deals this offseason. Unfortunately for Goff, it doesn’t look like that’s on the Rams’ radar. Head coach Sean McVay took to the podium during the annual NFL meeting in Arizona on Tuesday — indicating as much. This is a rather surprising public stance for the Rams to take. It comes on the heels of Eagles general manager Howie Roseman indicating that he’d like a deal to get done with Wentz before the 2020 season. Meanwhile, the Cowboys have remained open to extending Prescott. In terms of overall body of work, Goff has had the most team-wide success. Sure Philadelphia earned the Super Bowl title over New England back in February of 2018, but that came with Nick Foles starting under center and earning the game’s MVP. Wentz tore his ACL back in 2
