Jon Robinson continues to add talent.
The Titans have been among the most active teams in the early waves of free agency, adding Adam Humphries and Rodger Saffold. Now they’ve got their veteran pass rusher in long time Dolphins star Cameron Wake per Adam Schefter.
Former Dolphins’ DE Cameron Wake intends to sign a three-year, $23 million deal that includes $10 million guaranteed with the Tennessee Titans, per source.

Titans upgrading both lines and Wake playing younger than his 37 years.
Wake is 37 years old so it’s a little surprising that he was given a three year contract, but the guaranteed money isn’t a ton and it’s likely almost all within the first year of the deal. He has remained remarkably productive late into his career thanks in part to a maniacal work ethic.
Wake totaled 6 sacks and 17 quarterback hits in 2018 despite playing a reduced snap count compared to previous seasons. Both numbers would have led all Titans edge rushers last season. That says more about the Titans struggles than anything, but it’s clear that the veteran pass rusher can still help this team.
Wake finished second among qualifying edge rushers in PFF’s Pass Rush Productivity metric so the reduced role allowed him to remain highly effective in the snaps he did get. I’m sure the Titans will plan to use him similarly in 2019 in a rotation with Harold Landry, Sharif Finch, Kamalei Correa, and almost certainly a high draft pick.
