The four preseason opponents for the Saints have been revealed.
The New Orleans Saints preseasons opponents have been announced, as the NFL released the full 65-game lineup Tuesday afternoon. We’ll know the details of three preseason games when the actual schedule releases, as the Saints get a prime time showing when they take on the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 2. That game is set for Sunday, Aug. 18 at 3:00 p.m. CT with a nationally televised broadcast on CBS.
Here’s the full lineup:
- Game 1 (Aug. 8-12): vs. Minnesota Vikings
- Game 2 (Aug. 18): at Los Angeles Chargers, 3:00 p.m. CT (CBS)
- Game 3 (Aug. 22-25): at New York Jets
- Game 4 (Aug. 29-30): vs. Miami Dolphins
Last preseason, the Saints opened on the road against the Jaguars. They then hosted the Cardinals, and faced the Chargers in a featured prime time game for Week 3 of the 2018 preseason. They closed things out with the Rams in the Superdome, finishing 3-1.
Typically, the preseason games are subject to being broadcast on Raycom Media outlets for local fans. Official times and dates will be announced at a later date, and the NFL’s schedule is expected to drop soon. The first day of reporting for the Saints offseason workout program is April 22, with OTAs occurring May 21-23, May 28-30, and June 3-6. A mandatory minicamp will happen from June 11-13.
