Could one of the nations most dominant defensive lines have a player heading to sunny L.A.?
Moving onto some bigger names when it comes to the pre-draft circuit, two national championship winning defensive lineman from the Clemson Tigers are set to visit the Los Angeles Rams. Both DT Dexter Lawrence and DE Clelin Ferrell will visit today, per Adam Schefter:

Lawrence is a hulking nose tackle prospect who stands 6’4” and weighs 340+ lbs. Obviously he’s one of the best run stoppers in the 2019 NFL Draft, but he does have quite a bit of athleticism to his game, as well as active hands. Those are both key points because they represent a difference between simply being a run-stuffing nose tackle, and a good run stuffer who could potentially operate and produce on third downs as well. Lawrence registered 181 tackles, 18 tackles-for-loss, and 10 sacks in three years at Clemson. He was also suspended for the 2019 College Football Playoff after testing positive for a banned substance, so this could also be an attempt at digging deeper into that incident.
Ferrell seems like a better fit to me personally due to his length and size at the defensive end position. Obviously Ferrell would be transitioning into an outside linebacker, but he has the necessary movement skills to make it work. In four years at Clemson, Ferrell managed to produce 166 tackles, 50.5 tackles-for-loss, and 27 sacks. A true three down player who has high character and fills a position of need, Ferrell would be a home-run option at pick #31.
In the SB Nation Mock Draft Database, Lawrence is the second most highly-mocked player to the Rams. He’s seen as the pick in over 10% of mocks.
