If I were to bet on it, I’d say the Packers will move off at least one of their selections in the first round at 12 and 30.
The Green Bay Packers are well-known for being active trade partners in the NFL Draft in recent years. Former general manager Ted Thompson earned the nickname “Trader Ted” for his frequent moves up and down the draft board. Whether moving out of the first round, as he did multiple times, or sneaking back into round one to grab Clay Matthews, Ted was always looking to find the best opportunities to improve the Packers’ roster on draft weekend.
Last year, new GM Brian Gutekunst was active in his own right, particularly early on. After moving back from 14 to 28 in round one, adding an extra first-round pick for 2019, he climbed back up the board to nab cornerback Jaire Alexander with the 18th pick. He then moved up again back into round three to draft linebacker Oren Burks at 88 overall.
This year, armed with ten picks — multiple selections in rounds one, four, and six — Gutekunst seems a sure bet to make some moves once again. While it looks unlikely that he will move up from 12, the Packers definitely could try to get back into the late teens or early twenties by packaging the 30th and 75th picks. Then, with a pair of fourths, they could make a play to get back into the latter part of day two.
Or how about moving back from 12 a bit, adding some ammunition on day two, and using that to climb up again from 30?
It’s all fluid, but in today’s curds, we’ll look at some trade possibilities for next Thursday’s first round, several of which involve the Packers.

As one probably can tell from our decision to pick a lineman for the Packers in the SB Nation Mock Draft yesterday, we agree that the offensive line needs help in this year's draft. The good news is that there should be some good ones available in the first two days of the draft, and if Brian Gutekunst doesn't use one of his first three picks on a lineman, we'll be very surprised.

This is a little crazy, but it posits some trade-down and trade-up options for the Packers. One spot area where they could move up is from 30 to 17, especially if the Giants do grab a quarterback with the 6th pick.
