The Patriots quarterback wants to...gain weight?
The New England Patriots start their offseason conditioning today and an important face will not be in attendance. Quarterback Tom Brady plans to skip this part of the offseason process, per NFL Media’s Ian Rapoport.
The #Patriots begin offseason conditioning today, and the expectation is QB Tom Brady won’t be in attendance. That was his plan last year… which seemed to work out pretty decently. That said, when he does get back in the building, he should be a bit bigger. Brady may bulk up.

It’s incredibly important to note that Brady skipped this portion of the offseason program last season and, well, the Patriots ended the season as champions. NFL Media’s Mike Giardi adds that Brady himself believes the decision to skip the conditioning program didn’t impact the offense.
The offseason conditioning program is limited to strength and conditioning activities and physical rehabilitation.
