A straightforward question which may not have a straightforward option based on how many incredible choices there are.
We’re in the middle of draft season and it’s about to really begin ramping up in these last few weeks, leading up to one of the most important dates on the NFL calendar. So, in the spirit of the draft, we’ll look back on some of Atlanta’s most successful first round selections.
You’ll have your chance to voice your opinion on who you think is the best first rounder in Falcons history. Vote in the poll and leave your comment below as to why you voted for you did (or don’t, I can’t tell you what to do).
It’s a heavyweight matchup to say the least as to who the best first rounder in team history is. There are a lot of Falcons record holders and franchise players on this list. Each option is in linear order from when they were drafted — Tommy Nobis was Atlanta’s first ever first rounder, and Jake Matthews was the last of these particular players to be drafted.
I look forward to seeing who you guys vote for and some of the reasoning behind the responses. If you have a favorite first rounder whom I didn’t put on the list, vote “other” and let me know about it.
Also, to coincide with this article, we’ll have a staff roundtable coming up giving our opinions on these poll results, and each writer will give his/her opinion on who the best first rounder in team history is.
