Along with Countess, Jojo Natson, Morgan Fox, Dominique Hatfield, and KhaDarel Hodge set to return in 2019.
As the Los Angeles Rams usher in their offseason program they have begun to answer some mid-roster depth questions by resigning restricted free agent safety Blake Countess to a one-year deal. Countess had been tendered, but received no offers from other teams.
The Rams also will be bringing back a handful of exclusive rights free agents including: defensive end Morgan Fox, wide receiver/return specialist Jojo Natson, wide receiver KhaDarel Hodge, and defensive backs Kevin Peterson and Dominique Hatfield.
Peterson was having a solid camp last season when his season ended abruptly with a knee injury. Morgan Fox suffered a similar fate after being expected to compete for serious playing time, maybe even starting, as an edge rusher a year ago.
Jojo Natson will likely be the Rams return man again, and Hodge made some spectacular plays in preseason last season will again get a look in camp this year.
Between Countess, Hatfield, and Peterson the Rams depth in the secondary will retain some familiar faces who are familiar with the system.
More depth will be added in just over a week at the NFL draft, with the Rams currently holding seven draft picks, including a first rounder and couple thirds.
