After much anticipation, the NFL has released the 2019 regular season schedule. The Baltimore Ravens will face NFC West, AFC East and remaining 2018 AFC first place finishers, along with their annual home and home battles within in the division, during their quest to defend the AFC North crown:

Week 7: at Seahawks
Week 8: BYE
Week 9: vs Patriots (Sunday Night)
Week 10: at Bengals
Week 11: vs Texans
Week 12: at Rams (Monday Night)
Week 13: vs 49ers
Week 14: at Bills
Week 15: vs Jets (Thursday Night)
Week 16: at Browns
Week 17: vs Steelers

Playing a first place schedule that includes trips to the Rams, Chiefs and Seahawks was never going to be easy. Weeks 3 through 5 and 10 through 12 are particularly challenging stretches, and the bye week is earlier than preferred. That said, Baltimore has a great opportunity to start fast in September. And a mini-bye following the Week 15 Thursday night home game should support a late season intra-division push.
All in all, the schedule is fair enough considering the predetermined opponents. As always, the AFC North divisional contests will be pivotal. - Vasilis Lericos
Some good, some bad. Nothing new here.
I’m excited to see the first three weeks. If the Ravens are for real, they’ll prove it by trouncing the rebuilding Dolphins and Cardinals. If they start 2-0, they may be capable of keeping that momentum going into Arrowhead Stadium against the Kansas City Chiefs — their first big test of the 2019 season.
What I strongly dislike about this schedule is the fact that the Ravens don’t get a home stand; they will be on a plane every other week. The only time they get a break from the sky is the Week 8 bye. Which, to me, is the best part of this schedule. John Harbaugh and the players get an extra week to prepare against Bill Belichick and the New England Patriots.
The scheduling committee did a good job with the final two weeks. The Ravens will battle it out against Baker Mayfield and the Browns and follow it up with a likely-important game against the Pittsburgh Steelers. I’d love nothing more than to watch the Ravens boot the Steelers out of the playoffs in back-to-back seasons. — Kyle P. Barber
Opening the season on the road against Miami isn’t exactly the most exciting matchup, however, it should serve as a good barometer and measurement as to how good the Ravens are. Having three prime time matchups, two of which are at home and one is against the Patriots too, is a nice reward for winning the division last year. The Thursday Night contest against the Jets is essentially an additional bye week before the final two weeks of the season, and the extra time Baltimore gets to rest up could prove crucial. The schedule is by no means a walk in the park, however, there’s certainly a feasible path to winning ten games again. - Frank J. Platko
