Get to know the Arizona Cardinals undrafted free agents: Boise State wide receiver A.J. Richardson

The Arizona Cardinals brought in 12 undrafted free agents following the 2019 NFL Draft. While they’ll have additional players in as tryout players, there are 12 they offered money to and signed.

Each day we will take a look at one or two of the players with a little background information on them.

Murray State quarterback Drew Anderson.

Maine tight end Drew Belcher.

Ohio State linebacker Dante Booker.

Wofford defensive tackle Miles Brown.

Rutgers offensive lineman Tariq Cole.

Pitt linebacker James Folston Jr.

Arkansas cornerback Ryan Pulley.

Today, it is Boise State wide receiver A.J. Richardson, who seems to have some work to do if he wants to make this roster.

Boise State wide receiver A.J. RICHARDSON (6-0, 212) set career-highs a senior in 2018 with 54 receptions for 825 yards and eight touchdowns while playing in all 13 games (eight starts). He finished last season with a career-high three games of 100+ receiving yards. A Lomita, CA native, Richardson played in 53 career games (22 starts) at Boise State and had 99 receptions for 1,474 yards and 11 touchdowns.

From Tony Pauline:

Richardson was very productive as a senior at Boise State and really jumped onto the scouting radar after he was dismissed by scouts before the season. He possesses the tools necessary to line up as a fifth receiver and has the underlying skills to return punts.

Richardson has quite the battle ahead of him, but he’s been doing a nice job of overcoming perceptions and exceeding expectations.
