Get to know the Arizona Cardinals undrafted free agents: Tarleton State running back Xavier Turner

The Arizona Cardinals brought in 12 undrafted free agents following the 2019 NFL Draft. While they’ll have additional players in as tryout players, there are 12 they offered money to and signed.

Each day we will take a look at one or two of the players with a little background information on them.

Murray State quarterback Drew Anderson.

Maine tight end Drew Belcher.

Ohio State linebacker Dante Booker.

Wofford defensive tackle Miles Brown.

Rutgers offensive lineman Tariq Cole.

Pitt linebacker James Folston Jr.

Arkansas cornerback Ryan Pulley.

Boise State wide receiver A.J. Richardson.

North Carolina offensive lineman William Sweet.

Louisiana Tech defensive lineman Immanuel Turner.

Today, it is small school running back Xavier Turner.

Tarleton State running back XAVIER TURNER (5-10, 226) rushed for 1,469 yards and 22 touchdowns on 228 carries (6.4-yard average) for the Texans last season, earning Offensive Back of the Year and first-team All-Lone Star Conference recognition. A North Richland Hills, TX native, Turner gained 2,234 yards and scored 33 touchdowns on 377 rushing attempts in 25 games at TSU (2017-18) after transferring from Navarro (Corsicana, TX) College, where he totaled 1,118 rushing yards in two seasons (18 games) with the Bulldogs.

This is a player to keep an eye on. While the running back room seems set, injuries tend to pile up and Turner would be the only “big back” in house for the Cardinals.
